Kent Sportcast Results 29th April 2012.

Conditions – Wind NE/SSE 5 - 20mph, 10 casters.

Conditions initially were not particularly favourable due to the rain and

variable wind direction which accounted for the low turnout.

Eventually the rain stopped and the casting line was moved

to favour the change in wind direction.

During this time decent distances were hard to achieve.

About mid day it started raining again and the wind direction changed.

During this lapse from casting the casting line was moved once more for the final time.

Then the sun came out, the temperature rose and conditions were quite

pleasant although there was still variation in the wind direction.

From then on distances improved.

Well done to Steve Lewis who broke the 150g record with a cast of  255.44m.

A point to remember. The casting field is free draining enabling cars to travel

on it with no worry of getting bogged down. Likewise no problems with the oche.

    
Our next casting event which was planned for the Sunday 13th May

has been cancelled due to hay making.

The next event will hopefully be held on Sunday 27th May .
